The different organizing principle
Password managers are organized around a vault of credentials. Subment is organized around a subscription record. A record can contain the plan, costs, billing cycle, renewal date, owner, members, access permissions and the credentials or TOTP information necessary to use that service.
When Subment is the better fit
Choose Subment when the question is “who owns this service, when does it renew, who can use it and what access do they need?” It is useful for shared SaaS accounts, team subscriptions and any service where operational details matter as much as the password.
When a password manager still makes sense
Use a password manager for a broad collection of personal logins, autofill and browser-focused credential management. Subment overlaps on shared subscription credentials but is not intended to replace every personal password vault. The two can serve different jobs.
