How plans work
A plan belongs to you, not to a workspace.
It covers what you own
Your plan sets how many workspaces you can own (your personal one included), and how much each can hold. Team and Agency add seats, shared across all your workspaces.
Joining is free
People you invite don't need a plan, and neither do you when you're invited. The workspace's owner's plan covers everyone in it, and you keep your own plan for the workspaces you create.
Owners hand over, never abandon
An owner transfers a workspace to another admin before leaving. If one is ever left without an owner it turns read-only, so people can still view and export until an admin takes it over.

Every feature, in every plan.
Plans differ in how much you can hold: workspaces, subscriptions, people and guests. Not in what the product does or how safely it's kept. Free gets the same vault, the same security check-up and the same activity log as Agency.

About pricing.
Do I need a card to start?
No. Create an account and use it. Nothing is charged, and there's nothing to cancel.
What does my plan cover?
The workspaces you own, your personal one included. Free covers 1, Plus 3, Team 5 and Agency any number. It sets how many subscriptions, people and guests each workspace can hold.
What if I'm invited to someone else's workspace?
It's free for you, and doesn't use any of your own workspaces. The person who owns that workspace has the plan that covers it. You keep your own plan for the workspaces you create yourself.
What happens if I leave or someone leaves?
A workspace's owner is the person whose plan covers it, so an owner hands it to another admin before leaving. If a workspace ever ends up without an owner, it becomes read-only and everyone can still view and export it until an admin takes it over.
What happens to my data if I change plan?
Nothing is deleted or locked. If you're over a plan's limit you keep everything you have, and can still view and export it. You just can't add more of that kind until you upgrade or remove some.
When do paid plans start?
We haven't set a date. We'll email everyone who asks for updates, and everyone with an account, well before anything is charged. Use "Notify me" below to be told first.
Will early users get a deal?
We'd like to reward the people who help us shape Subment. If we do, we'll say exactly what it is when paid plans are announced. We won't promise it before then.
What does "guest" mean?
Someone outside your workspace who can be given access to specific subscriptions, such as a contractor or a client, without being a full member.
